Remembering the late Grand Chief Sir Michael Thomas Somare
On the first anniversary of Grand Chief Sir Michael Thomas Somare’s passing, on 26th February 2022, the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) pay homage to his vision of a free and democratic Papua New Guinea, where we contribute in carving its destiny.
We are grateful to have Papua New Guinean scientists and researchers who are developing innovative agricultural practices to improve and sustain livelihoods of farming families.
We remember you officially commissioning the Kana Aburu Haus (head office) and Sir Alkan Tololo Research Centre in Lae, Morobe province.
Your legacy will continue to inspire NARI to contribute meaningfully to the agriculture sector in PNG.
