Interest in egg production and consumption is creating a stir in Kome local level government of Menyamya.
Women and young children have stirred a demand for egg that is creating an income opportunity for raising village chicken.
Menyamya’s Rural Development Officer Isso Angapese expressed that there is a big interest in raising village chicken for eggs and meat.
He participated in a NARI Climate Change Resilience project- Training of Trainers workshop on how to breed and manage village chickens. On behalf of the district, Mr Angpese was given 20 hens and two roosters for breeding and distribution.
